Young creatives are making significant efforts in bridging gaps where potential developmental institutions haven’t explored. It therefore comes as no surprise that creatives gather regularly to touch base on issues they face in the industry and solutions to those problems.

This month we take a look at the Fashion Meet Up 2017 which happened on the 5th of November at the No1 Ladies Coffee House. This is an event that has since its inception last year, brought together all stakeholders of the fashion industry to inform and empower one another.

At this year’s event, attendees had the luxury of consulting a qualified lawyer for free and getting advice from representatives from the Botswana Innovation hub on how they could package and market themselves better. The event was very interactive, with attendees sharing their individual experiences and relaying to others how they put a foot forward to overcome these, one of them being Kaone Moremong of House of Kay.

It goes without saying that the fashionistas came out representing. With every appreciator, designer and lover of fashion attending in their boldest most expressive looks, the event was nothing short of stylish. The vibe felt like something straight out of an instagram movie. Check out some of the looks from the event.
