#PristineChats to the Nifty 80 Scripts
80 Scripts (real name Zolile Motsa), a rap artist, opened up in an interview with Pristine to disclose some information that many of his fans may not be privy to and how his odyssey in the music industry has been.
The heart throb took us on the journey of his individual diversity as an artist and a performer.
80 Scripts started rapping at a very young age, in primary school. The rapper’s first experience of recording in studio was in high school when he recorded a mix-tape titled the Hostel Nightmare in 2008 with his best friend. That is when he realised passion for music.
While he was not confident enough at that age, he later had an encounter with self; finding his purpose and getting to know himself better. “Making music started at a very young age but me, knowing this is what I was born to do came later. I think I was in university when I finally met me. I always wanted to make music but I didn’t know I’d make music until realisation; what they call epiphany!” he added as he exerted humour that he is popularly known for.
As an artist, 80 Scripts’ diligence in music earned him a nomination in Best Hip Hop artist at the Swaziland Music Awards (SWAMAs) category. The rapper has vowed never to stop making music as he believes it is his divine purpose.
